David Greenberg believes in the power of storytelling through film. His mission is to create captivating narratives that resonate with audiences worldwide. He focuses on innovative storytelling techniques that engage and entertain, ensuring every project is crafted with passion and precision.
David Greenberg graduated from the film program at Temple University and worked in production before deciding to focus on screenwriting. His feature writing-directing debut “Stomping Ground” premiered in 2016. He specializes in writing screenplays for ultra-low budget films and shorts. He has been hired to write or doctor over 60 feature, short and documentary screenplays.
His 2021 book Screenwriting For Micro-Budget Films was published by Focal Press and was recently ranked #34 on bookauthority.org's list of the 100 Best Screenwriting Books of All Time.
His short film “The True Meaning of Cool” won an award from the American Film Institute. Another short film, “Interrogation,” won a Special Jury Prize at the L.A. Neo-Noir Film Festival. David contributed a chapter on the history of photography to Walter Foster Publishing’s “The Daily Book of Photography” and was also hired to write the book “100 Movies To Watch With Your Kids.”
David teaches screenwriting at Drexel University. David evaluates screenplays for the prestigious Austin Screenwriters Conference and is active in the Philadelphia screenwriting community, frequently reading screenplays for The Set In Philadelphia Screenplay Competition and serving as a panelist/mentor at various workshops aimed at nurturing new talent. Greenberg branched out into producing, serving in that capacity on "Seclusion", a feature shot in Spring 2021.
In June of 2024, Greenberg was hired to write Prisoner Trump: The Don of Cell Block B. H e was given one week to complete the screenplay and turned it in a day early, July 3. The film began production in Los Angeles on August 2 and wrapped August 8. The producers anticipate an October 2024 streaming release.
